The Cookie Jar: Rebranding Package

There's this little shop in Bartow that you might miss if you weren't looking. Inside are cupcakes and cannolis neatly stacked in a glass case and window-side tables where locals can enjoy a sweet snack. This place doesn't just make desserts - it sets the scene for fond memories and fun times.

The Cookie Jar’s current logo and storefront in Bartow, FL. The business has had the same branding since at least 2004.

To start this new year off, I decided to imagine new branding for this old favorite. The Cookie Jar combines nostalgia with hometown charm, so its logo deserves some old school lettering. I whipped up an illustration of a jar we can all recognize and chose some colors you might see in the shop's display case. And there you have it, a new logo that plays off the brand's history!

To further reimagine The Cookie Jar's brand, I thought about how customers would interact with it every day.

Maybe you'd see a stranger holding a colorful coffee cup and look closer to see where it came from. Maybe longtime customers would be excited to carry a branded tote around town. And maybe a social handle on a to-go container could lend the brand some user-generated content to use on their feed.

These branded materials are similar to word of mouth marketing. They speak for your brand without any extra effort on your part. With bold branding like this, the message is loud and clear.

Let's finish this branding project off strong! Here are 9 social posts to introduce The Cookie Jar's new look online. Which is your favorite?

There's so much to say on social. A good strategy might include providing information about your business, establishing a personality, and engaging with the community online. Fun quotes, user-generated content, and your own photography are all fair game - just make sure you get a good mix going. Every brand uses social media differently, so have fun and experiment with what works for your audience.
